The Story Behind Our Final Stop: Wisconsin
Some Around the World recipes start with a traditional dish. This one started with a family tradition. ❤️
Long before Stone Cold Meats, Sean Stone spent his summers fishing in Wisconsin with his father. It became one of those traditions that sticks with you—the fishing, the time together, and, of course, the food.
Years later, the Stone Family continues that tradition with their own children, making trips to Wisconsin and creating those same kinds of memories together.
And if you ask the Stone kids about Wisconsin, there’s one food that definitely makes the list...
CHEESE CURDS. 🧀😂
BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS A CHEESE CURD?
Cheese curds are essentially fresh pieces of young cheese created during the cheesemaking process. As milk begins turning into cheese, the solids separate from the whey, forming curds. Before those curds are pressed and aged into a block of cheese, they can be eaten fresh.
Wisconsin's long dairy and cheesemaking tradition has made fresh cheese curds one of the foods most closely associated with the state. And when they're really fresh, they're famous for that little “squeak” when you bite into them.
So when we started thinking about where our final Around the World stop should take us, Wisconsin felt like the perfect way to bring the journey home.
But then came the question...
How do we turn cheese curds into something that feels like Stone Cold Meats?
Stuffed chicken breasts have been part of what we do for years, so the answer was sitting right in front of us.
STUFF 'EM. 😂
We took Wisconsin cheese curds and blended them with olive oil, fresh basil and minced garlic, tucked that mixture inside a chicken breast, and seasoned the outside with our Stone Cold Meats Pork & Poultry seasoning.
The result is our:

It's more than just our Week 8 creation. It's a little piece of a place that has been part of the Stone Family's story for generations, now turned into something we get to share with our Stone Cold Meats Family.
After eight weeks of traveling the world, we couldn't think of a better way to bring the adventure home. ❤️🌎
From one Stone family tradition to another—welcome to Wisconsin. 🎣🧀
