Well we made it through the bulk of the cold snap! Although yesterday morning and this morning we saw negatives when we were supposed to😫 Another few days this weekend of bitter cold and then it looks like we’re back to our normal winter temps… come onnn spring😭 Hope everyone’s staying warm!

“Patiently” waiting for their pen to be extra prepped❤️ the goats got little huts made in their stalls and bales of straw around it plus more straw inside them. Warm water, hay refills and some cookies🥰 The turkeys were less than impressed with me bringing in straw and the feed bag so it was a quick in and out but that shed stays very comfortable so I’m not worried about them at all. We’re ready to ride out the next week of wtf weather! Hope everyone stays warm and watch for ice as you go tending to your animals!

Many last minute tasks to do outside today! Loaded the coop with more straw and we have some plastic to put up in the coop as our ventilation that normally causes no issues is starting frostbite on our adult roo with this wind chill😫 But thankfully the birds are in the run happy as can be drinking warm water. Happy I went with the thick greenhouse plastic this year😊
