First tractor parked in the New shop. Looks good!
Nothing like bouncing across a dug field. Getting it knocked down. My butt is little sore though lol
Trying to get used to this new to me New Holland T8.360 tractor. Lots to learn.
Monday is NOT fun day when your in line at Bunge in Delphos.
Night time fun time! Lol
Sunday fun day!
Little rain this morning but finally dried enough to get out and diskrip some bean stubble.
Ceiling insulation getting blown in and heat being installed
So many things going on this summer and early fall. New shop going up, getting things ready for fall. Started fall harvest. Jammed packed and no time to slow down. Keep on gong till it's all done.
Dax with the memorial! Lol
It's been a busy/ hard working summer. Just finished the tear of the front barn, shop, milking barn and grain bin. Good days to do it all, just bloody hot!
Getting things cleaned up after a long spring planting season.
Anybody know of someone who tears down barns/ buildings in the area?
Thought I would just throw this out there. If your vehicle is flex fuel capable i.e. E85. It is cheaper and in some places substantially cheaper than reg unleaded gas. I know it's hard to find at times if your looking for it. I do know Casey's in ottawa has it and just the other day I filled my truck up in Liberty Center at Marathon ( I do realize that's not all that close but just fyi) for 3.65 when reg was 4.99. Big difference at 1.30 a gallon. Also if your vehicle is 2001 or newer you can burn E15 which is cheaper as well ( it doesn't have to be flex fuel to burn that). I'm not trying to tell anybody what to do. I just thought I'd pass some info along. Not to Mention your emissions are cleaner and it supports renewable energy along with keeping money in your pocket.
So much for field work! Ugh
Sure felt good to finally get back in the field yesterday!
I don't know about anybody else but I can't wait for spring and warmer weather. So chilly!
Another early start. Last 16 acres! GO,GO,GO!!!
Working late trying to get finished before tomorrow's rain.
Wet weather, drying corn and getting cold. Oh the ways of fall harvest.:(
Back at it this morning
These tires sure make a difference in these wet conditions!
Things going well this fall!
Picked up these big devils the other day to float over the wet field conditions.
It's been a long harvest. It started off so promising with the great weather. Then as things do from time to time mother nature has made this area of the state wet, wet and more wet. I do feel fortunate to have gotten all my soybeans harvested and done a couple of days ago. Now on to corn though like clock work its going to be a wet week and not much drying time in between. Muddy conditions are not Ideal and the last thing you want to do to the ground, ie track it a bit, but we need to get the crop out before we can't. I hope all of you that follow the farm are doing great and I hope to post again real soon.

Happy Father's day to my dad John. Thanks for all you've done for me!
The work doesn't stop after planting. Started a nice crossover on the Donaldson farm over the weekend as well a mowing roadsides and finished the crossover Monday morning. Then that afternoon hauled beans in. Making improvements and keeping things looking nice. Always thankful for the privilege to do the things we love.
Finished up planting soybeans yesterday. Feels good to be done and see that things are on their way up. Now to getting things cleaned up. Some tile fixed and crossovers installed. Always things to do. 👍
Corn is done and beans are going in!👍👍👍
Spring is in the air!🤦♂️
OK, so, I needed to get back at this thing. Fall harvest is in the books. Finished up in November a little later than expected but with being hit with covid and turning into pneumonia it put things on hold for a few weeks. All that being said things went well and in some cases better than expected. Nice to have a little more for all the hard work we put into this. This winter has been decent, cold at times but I welcomed the snowfall.
Been working on equipment to get ready for spring and I know I'm ready for that, can't wait!
I also wanted to thank those again that sent me cards and messages when I was ill. They were greatly appreciated.
Need to give a shout out again to the Fitzwater bunch for helping me out during harvest. Awesome!!!!
Unleashing my new beast today!!!
Been a busy summer working on the farm and other projects. But the fields are turning and that time for fall harvest is creeping up fast. Can't wait!
Getting in some second round spraying before it rains later tonight. Fingers crossed!!!
Finished up with spraying and bean planting at the end of may early June. Things went in well but could use some rain to really get things going.
Corn going in well despite the cool/ cold weather.
