The Tomato Man has been forced into a much-needed family vacation this week. In his absence, the RHG Shed has been placed under the supervision of our resident teacher, Ms. Carol Ann Rome, and she is officially open for business.

Feel free to call or text in orders if needed — but please note, RHG cannot be held responsible for any surprise educational sessions, history lessons, or pop quizzes that may occur while she’s in charge.

RHG proud!

How do you learn a facility inside and out? You help build it from the ground up.

Instrumentation and electrical technician Patrick Rome joined Koch Methanol St. James during its construction. That hands-on experience during the commissioning phase set the foundation for his vital role in maintaining the facility’s automated systems today.

“I have to say the commissioning of the facility has been my favorite project,” Patrick shared. “It was very interesting, and it helped me learn every aspect of the site. I got to put my hands on almost every piece of equipment and then take that knowledge into the future.”

This Easter Sunday, we’re especially grateful for family, tradition, and the land that brings us together ❤️

Rome’s Home Grown is more than a produce stand — it’s a working family farm with three generations working side by side on the same land our grandparents and great-grandparents once did.

On any given weekend, you’ll find generations returning home — carrying on traditions, cooking the same recipes, and teaching the next generation along the way. Tomatoes and beets may be our business, but preserving this simple, nearly forgotten way of life is our passion.

Thank you for supporting small family farms and helping keep these traditions alive.
