The summer busy season has begun to wind down and now we wait for it to rain again. In the last couple weeks we have planted soybeans and milo, added nitrogen fertilizer to cotton, plowed under some wheat stubble.

No sooner did we finish wheat (2 hours to be exact) did it begin to rain and rain and rain some more. It rained its way to the wettest June on record and 17 inches total. From one extreme to another.

Another wheat harvest is in the books, this one was very average to below average due to the lack of rain this spring, but things went well with limited breakdowns.

Time to get some cotton in the ground finally. First it was too dry then too wet. It’s still plenty wet but we are running out of time it needs to be in the ground by June 5th.
