In this incredible conversation, hear from A.H. Almaas reveals the dramatic turning point that led him away from a promising career in science! He recounts his journey from studying physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was working on his PhD and studying general theory of relativity, to pursuing inner discovery and the psychological and spiritual aspects of human nature.
Discover the experiences that shattered his academic path: While still an undergraduate, he encountered Transcendental Meditation (TM) and practiced it for years. A pivotal moment occurred in the cafeteria at Lawrence Rad Lab where he had an unusual perception of large, floating heads, leading him to realize: "it's just the mind".
Most dramatically, Almaas details a profound near-death experience (NDE) following a traffic accident.
