We make the most delicious, old fashioned, gourmet caramels you will ever take in a variety of flavors. Our commercial kitchen is fully licensed and insured by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Husband and wife team, Steve and Leslie Clark, and our children, Justin, Jason and Brooke all work in the business in some capacity. Our business starts several years ago, when our son, Jason, wanted t

o raise money for a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. We really think he just wanted to meet a girl there that he had met there on a previous trip, LOL! You know teen-agers! Using an old recipe, Justin and Jason started making caramels and selling them at local festivals in our area. Their recipe and philosophy was simple, use the best ingredients, make the caramels in small batches, and individually wrap each piece for freshness. And that is the same business practices they use today. Things took off and soon the entire family was attending farmer's markets, festivals, conventions and other events selling caramels in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida. And now, we want to have our caramels delivered straight to your door! We currently offer 10 flavors (more coming!). vanilla, sea salt, milk chocolate, butter pecan, white chocolate, strawberry cheesecake, confetti birthday cake, dark chocolate, peanut butter and cookies n cream. You will love our caramels! On a side note, Jason never saw the girl from Myrtle Beach again, but he did get a great family business out of it!

Wilmington Riverfront Farmers Market delivers again! What a great town!

Weekends are always a busy time for us as we take the Universal Caramels business on tour around North and South Carolina.

Friday found us at the Water Street evening market in downtown Wilmington, NC. Great city, great crowds and a lot of great sights to see.

Saturday, we were back home in Myrtle Beach for the Market Common farmers markets. Always fun to see our regular customers and the new faces too!

Now, to enjoy a quiet Saturday evening and Devil Wears Prada 2 on Sunday!

A busy weekend for us! Saturday was the Socastee Heritage Festival and the farmer's market at Market Common. Sunday, we set up at Inlet Queens in Murrells Inlet. Beautiful weather, wonderful people and great sales! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Universal Caramels!

Wow, what a weekend for events! We started off at Sea Breeze Harley Davidson in Shallotte, NC on Saturday and then did the Easter egg drop (they call it the Choppa Droppa) at Ridge Baptist Church in Summerville, SC on Sunday. And yes, they actually drop the Easter egg out of a helicopter!
