The road’s been scary, no doubt. But I couldn’t imagine my life now had I not built it scared, clinging to the dream and the possibility of “what if it works out?”

For years, I’ve dreamed of creating evenings like this on our farm. The kind of experience I’d want to attend myself.

An evening where the air smells like fresh bread and woodfire pizza.

Where conversations linger long after the plates are empty.

Where the sun slowly sets behind the greenhouse and the string lights begin to glow overhead.

Where you can slow down for a few hours, savor a really good meal, and simply be present.

The kind of night you drive home from feeling inspired.

Inspired to cook something new.

To plant that garden you’ve been dreaming about.

To gather around the table a little more intentionally.

The kind of meal that becomes a memory.

Truthfully, evenings like this take so much work behind the scenes because, well… I tend to go all in. But at the end of the night, when I finally crawl into bed exhausted and replay the laughter, the slow conversations, the candlelight, and the memories being made here on the farm… I know I’d do it all over again.

Our very first official Pizza Night on the Farm is happening June 13th from 6–9 PM.

Seats are intentionally limited because we want this evening to feel intimate, relaxed, and meaningful.

We would absolutely love to share this unforgettable evening with you.

A 100 sq ft garden isn’t very big.

It’s roughly the size of four small raised beds or a single 30” x 40’ market garden bed.

Yet that same space could produce hundreds of carrots, dozens of pounds of tomatoes, onions for months, fresh salads all season, and enough herbs to keep your kitchen stocked.

The truth is, productivity isn’t always about having more land.
It’s about making intentional decisions with the space you have.

What you plant.
When you plant it.
How often you harvest.
And how efficiently you use each square foot.

I’ve seen tiny gardens outproduce much larger ones simply because they were planned with purpose.

Whether you’re gardening in raised beds, growing in-ground, or just getting started, I hope this gives you a different perspective on what’s possible.

How much space are you growing in this year? Let me know below.

One of the biggest mistakes I see new gardeners make is thinking they need a huge space to grow flowers.

You don’t.

Some of the most productive flower gardens I’ve ever grown were in small spaces.

If I was starting a backyard flower garden today, I’d focus on varieties that are easy to grow, produce a ton of stems, and keep blooming after you cut them.

My list would look something like:
🌸 Zinnias
🌸 Cosmos
🌸 Snapdragons
🌸 Calendula
🌸 Sunflowers
🌸 Sweet Peas

The beauty of a flower garden is it can serve so many purposes.

Want fresh bouquets on your kitchen table all summer? Plant flowers.

Want to attract more pollinators to your vegetable garden? Plant flowers.

Want to make a little extra money selling bouquets? Plant flowers.

Want your yard to simply feel more beautiful? Plant flowers.

Most people think flower gardening is complicated, but honestly, it doesn’t have to be.

Start with a few easy varieties, give them good soil, keep them watered, and cut often.

The more you harvest many flowers, the more they produce.

If you’re thinking about starting a flower garden this season, what flower is making the list?

There’s something really special about quiet mornings on the farm.

The kind where the world is still asleep, the coffee is hot, the starter is bubbly, and the only sound is bread dough being turned onto the counter at 2am.

This is what a farmers market week looks like over here…
100 loaves of sourdough, flour covering every surface of the kitchen, dough proofing in every corner I can find, sneaking out to the garden while loaves bake, loading up the truck before sunrise, and heading to market with hands that are tired but a heart that feels really full.

Some days this life feels wildly chaotic… but then I step into the garden, pull a loaf from the oven, or get to hug one of you at market and I’m reminded why we chose this life in the first place.

It’s slow mornings mixed with long hours.

Beauty tucked inside hard work.

And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Come spend a farmers market day with me 🫶
