Pork chops with onion and mushroom gravy
INGREDIENTS:
4 bone-in pork chops.
1 can chicken broth.
1 can cream of chicken soup.
1 packet onion soup mix.
1 packet dry pork gravy mix.
1 tsp garlic powder.
DIRECTIONS:
In a slow cooker, I combined chicken broth, onion soup mix, pork gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup, and I whisked together until well combined.
I seasoned both sides of the chops with a little bit of garlic powder.
I placed pork chops into the slow cooker. I added 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, and cold water to thicken the gravy.
I cooked it covered for about 4 to 6 hours, on low heat.
When it’s done, You can serve it with mashed potatoes.

Cooking breakfast for supper tonight. I cooked my bacon the way my mom always did when we were kids. Put some flour in a ziploc, put your bacon slices in and shake it really good. Take bacon out, shake off excess flour and put it on a baking sheet. I line my baking sheet with tin foil so it’s easy to clean later. Cook around 375, flip bacon after about 10 minutes. Then cook another 10 or so until it’s as crispy as you like it. Hardly any shrinkage. And the bacon has a delicious crust on it. Now for biscuits and cheesy scrambled eggs. 😋
**edited to add: my mom saw my post and said she got the idea years and years ago from watching Gomer Pyle on TV, he was working in the kitchen and cooked it this way, and it “impressed Generals” lol
