With the constant bombardment of news regarding food recalls and importing, many of you have been wondering... WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OUR FOOD SYSTEM??

The consequences of a global food network that lacks transparency, stewardship, and safety all at the expense of Mother Earth, underpaid laborers, and consumers is now rearing its head.
It’s been a long time coming.

But be rest assured that your local farmers are here for you, if you’re here for them.
Connect with farmers in your area, find your local farmstands, figure out farmer’s market schedules and support local CSA’s.

Why are we giving big box stores our hard-earned money for food that we are so disconnected from? Food that is supposed to nourish ourselves and our families. Food that should be conscientiously and ethically grown. Food that should be creating community and contributing to a more resilient local economy.

What are your thoughts on this, as of late?
