Today is a bittersweet day. We are taking the majority of our cattle herd to Buffalo Livestock Marketing Inc . They will be going for auction tomorrow morning. If you are looking for some great cattle, please come out and bid.

Big update!

Due to some significant life changes, we will no longer be attending farmers markets (Jewett Indoor Market, Teague Farmers Market, Buffalo Trade Days, M’Heya Farmers Market ) for the foreseeable future. We love our customers and greatly appreciate all of your support over the years.

My heart ❤️ is aching today. My dear friend Carrie Stong passed away unexpectedly yesterday. When we moved out to the country, I learned that my farm friends are truly a different level of friend. Farm friends will happily come over and help you process a dozen chickens. When you drive by the house of a farm friend, you always honk the horn and they always wave. Farm friends are the ones you call when you make too much dinner, and they actually come over. Farm friends will share pictures of the roadrunners, stray cats they adopted, stuff they are building, and pretty sunsets they saw on the farm.

Carrie was that farm friend, but also a church friend. She encouraged me to be more involved in the church. She was the friend I turned to when I was in need if prayer. We shared many thoughts on scripture readings and Mass. I never hesitated asking her opinion on religious matters and she never held back or worried about being politically correct in her response. Carrie loved Jesus. Carrie loved her husband Mark. Carrie loved the farm life she and her husband made. I thank God for Carrie, and for the blessing of good friends we love like family, who leave our hearts aching.
