BAS Miss Free Trade H042. She is a cow we could not be more happy with. We have always really admired her since she was a young calf. She never went through a less attractive phase of development. I don't usually video our cows, but I did video her twice briefly as she stood in the barn not long after her and her dam had their calves this year. Her first son by Eagle, BAS Explosive we thought enough of that we kept him. Last year another cattleman used him and loved the phenotype and is excited about his spring calves now. Lot two in our sale is her yearling son. What a bull! He'd probably be somewhere between Mega and Money in description. It is so nice to feel confident in him; as well as so many young females and bulls we have!

Straight as an arrow across the top, just the way I like them, hereditary as mega and money are both the same as well as their progeny. Hard to find truly consistent genetic tools in the simmentals, more so in line bred angus herds like Ohlde Angus or Duff Angus.

201 granddaughter to 801 had her calf a mega millions calf. Mothering it well! 801's granddaughters through her son (money) have also been really great getting their calves up and going. Makes life so much easier when heifers can do it all on their own!

Our best angus cow mill brae cp Barbara 8066 two years ago had a money maker halfblood daughter. We crossed that heifer on mega millions and this is what we got! Born yesterday. He's going to be a big time bull come next year, those halfblood on halfblood crosses seem to work better then the original halfblood for us. Line breeding, this guy has 801 grandma on both sides😁

Our two year olds are calving. 4 calves since last 1230am so far. Got an angus calf a baldy money maker by guardian teeny bc and two mega millions calves. 1 of which being likely the most important calf a heifer will have as the heifer is a money daughter dual combo of brother bulls in that new bull calf as well as dual combo of our two best mother daughter donor dam lines. I'm so glad we've been so aggressive at utilizing 801 genetics in our herd and making so many embryos and crosses on our greatest cows. The other donor daughter mom duo is running at 115wwr on calves and they look great. Bulls in bull pen going back to both donor duos top and bottom should be on the short list for options this spring! Heifers may be for sale in picks, being the first time we will sell our greatest female genetics.

I stood on our house scale and weighed myself then weighed this money maker heifer calf. Stepped on it 3 times and she fluctuated from 46.7 pounds to 48.0 pounds. We will call her 48 #. This Gibbs heifer mom had her first calf last year she is the maternal sister to their 28000 bull sold a few months ago. She had an essential heifer last year that I weighed the same way and it only weighed 32 pounds and was by far our lightest calf last year. That calf is a top 3 or 4 of our yearling heifers now and she weaned off much heavier than average. Curvebender's do exist!!! That's a big part of what we are trying to genetically accomplish here. 801 cow is our best curvebender but we've definitely got some more and we will continue keeping those genetics and building the brand. Very happy time for me. I love the start of calving season!!!
