We’re bringing fresh produce from the Dragonfly Hill Farm to the Malvern Farmers Market this weekend.

Visit our stand and discover some of the season’s most unique and flavorful vegetables.

This week we’re bringing passionfruit, Mexican sour gherkins, ruby longyard beans, South American coriander, aji peppers, okra, and dark red Norland potatoes.

🍽️ Try the sour gherkins in a summer salad 🥗 , the aji peppers in fresh salsa 💃🏽, toss the beans in a quick garlic stir-fry 🫘, or roast the potatoes with fresh herbs like the South American coriander🌿

For the last few weeks, we’ve been harvesting lemon balm and aronia berries from the fields for our herbal aronia tea. 🌿💜

After harvest, we combine the berries and herbs and steep them for 24 hours to develop their flavor before bottling each batch by hand.

Made with aronia berries, lemon balm, organic spearmint, lemon juice, and maple syrup, this caffeine-free tea is bright, refreshing, and perfect served cold.

That deep purple color is a sign that aronia berries are naturally rich in antioxidants.

We sweeten our tea with maple syrup to make it accessible for a variety of dietary needs. This weekend’s batch is made with the last of our 2025 aronia harvest, so once it’s gone, it’s gone for the season 💟

Each garlic bulb begins as a single clove planted in the soil, which grows into an entirely new bulb by harvest time. 🧄

After harvest, the garlic is cured, cleaned, and processed before becoming part of our garlic, black pepper, and Himalayan salt blend.

There’s a whole lot that happens before we show up at the farmers market. 🌱🧄

Growing and harvesting is only the beginning. There are recipes to develop, ingredients to process, products to make, jars to fill, labels to design, market fees to pay, orders to pack…and somehow we still have to load the car and get to market on time. 😅

It’s a lot of work behind every product you see on our table, but seeing you at the market makes it all worth it.

This week we’ve started harvesting aronia berries at Dragonfly Hill! 💜

Aronia berries grow in clusters throughout the summer, ripening from green to a deep purple-black by late summer.

We harvest once the berries are fully colored and ripe, usually in late summer into early fall here in PA.

They have a bold, tart flavor and are great for jams, syrups, sauces, smoothies and baked goods. You can even catch us selling our Aronia Herbal Tea at markets this season. 🫐

That beautiful dark color is a clue that these berries are rich in antioxidants.
