Well, the parts company screwed up. The shop has a location in Quanah,TX, Wichita Falls, and one in OK. They brought the wrong motor to Quanah, it was supposed to go to Wichita Falls(2 hrs ish east) and apparently mine is in Brownsville, TX yet.... 10 hrs away the same place the other came from. It is guaranteed to be here tomorrow morning by 9 am. Unfortunately tentative schedule at this time is looking like Tuesday next week to be on the road! Barring any unforeseen complications with a used engine!
You don't have to own a business to know lost time working means lost income and the bills don't stop.
My family NEEDS prayers for patience, strength and support in this time of need. Phone calls, texts, Facebook messages, etc not just to me but to Tammy Langeland.
Long term our family will get through this someday. The unknown financial burden is the mountain of stress we face getting back on track or wondering what we lose or have to sell in the process of trying to keep a roof over our family.

Yesterday was a good day! Unfortunately no motor or progress on the getting back on the road. I was able to help D**k anchor the greenhouse he had gotten for Carolyn. Not as much as we had hoped due to a rock ledge. Then Carolyn made us lunch. She gave me a tour of their house and office with a history on all the decor and family history portrayed in both. I was able to hang some lights in her garden area for her, trim some trees. She invited me back for drinks and dinner. It was a much needed day of positive things. Great conversations, doing a little bit of work to take up my day. Great people with a wonderful story and history. The will forever have a place in my heart and prayers for their kindness in my family's time of need.

Day whatever it is since I left home on a haul, and tomorrow will be a week exactly since the smoke came out of the motor.... not in a good way! Still in Texas, still waiting on parts to show up. Still have a small resemblance of sanity left! I just want to say a THANK YOU to everyone that has said a little prayer, made a comment, gave a donation, even paused in your busy day to think about my family and myself in our time of struggle and need! The shop is hoping for parts arrival tomorrow.... maybe. His exact words were it's like watching paint dry getting parts around here! Not the most encouraging words. Nonetheless we will get through it! I spent too much time sitting with nothing to do, too much time on my phone!
The country is beautiful, quiet, really quiet, a gorgeous set of cows the ranch has here! Top notch Angus cows D**k, Carolyn and Toby have! Great people! Let me know if I need to make arrangements to help you get some!
I haven't made friends with cows, cowbirds or the road runner that resides near by. I will hear deer and coyotes at night. I'm try to stay positive, scanning Facebook for any way means I can pay forward the kindness that has been expressed to me!

Round bales or big squares? I have always fed rounds, but curious if big squares are more efficient and cost effective. 8-15+ horses, donkeys and a cow for now. Looking higher quality forage and bales!

MI friends! It’s that time of year!

We will be taking orders for beef again this year for anyone that is interested.

Unfortunately, our beef costs, along with everything else in the universe, have increased pretty significantly, so we don’t have any other choice to increase our prices as well.

I have also been informed that prices will more than likely hike again in the next couple of months so we may need to raise them a 2nd time. With that being said, if you are interested, I would order it now!

You can order what you need from us. You will pay the deposit to reserve your portion. Once the cow goes to the butcher and hanging weight is determined, you will be responsible for paying the balance of the beef. Processing of your cuts is separate!

Mike's processing in Allendale will be processing the meat and their prices are 63 cents on half/whole and 68 cents on quarter and below.

You will be responsible for paying the processing when you pick your meat up.

Here are our prices based on hanging weight:
1/8 - $4.15/pd based on hanging weight. $175.00 deposit

1/4 - $4.00/pd based on hanging weight. $300.00 deposit

1/2 - $3.75/ pd based on hanging weight. $ 500.00 deposit

Whole - $3.65/pd based on hanging weight. $ 900.00 deposit

May 16
June 6
July 18

We have our supplier in MI that is willing to work with us and do the leg work and all you have to do is tell us what you want, pay and pick up!! Let me know and we will get some dates out to you soon! 1/8, 1/4, half or whole!! Prices to come as well!
