Citadel Farm I have always wanted my own little farm and with the kids all moved out on their own...this was the time to start it.

Our own little piece of paradise...Well a cute little fixer upper farm anyway...and so our story begins!

October is starting to show off around Citadel Farm. 🍁🌅 The leaves are turning, the evening sun is shining through them, and fall is finally putting on its show.

Sometimes you just have to stop and enjoy it.

A woolly bear caterpillar! 🐛 I remember hearing that their stripes could predict how severe the winter would be. Folklore or truth, they’re still pretty cute little fall visitors.

Morning chores start with fresh water for everyone. 🐐💧 Nothing fancy—just one of those everyday farm jobs that keeps everybody happy and healthy. Hope your bucket overflows with blessings today. ❤️

Just two roosters trying to balance on a fence like this is completely normal. 😂🐓 I really have no words for this one.

A little supervised time together this morning. 🐐❤️ Not long now, and everyone should be back together again. For now, we’re taking it one visit at a time.

A quiet morning at Citadel Farm with a few local visitors wandering through. 🦃🌄 Not a bad way to start the day.

Remember that “good feeling while it lasted” moment? 🍎 Here’s the follow-up. Sometimes a farm story changes quickly—and this one definitely needed a part two.

That good feeling didn’t last quite as long as I hoped. 😂🍎 Farm life has a way of changing the plan when you least expect it. Stay tuned, because there’s a follow-up to this one.

Well… we have a mystery. 🦆🥚 There were four marked eggs in Bad Mama’s nest, and now there are only three.

Did one go bad and break? Did something get into the coop and take it? We honestly have no idea. If it had broken, I think we would have smelled it—but somehow, one egg is just gone.

What do you think happened?

Apparently there was a running commentary during this project. 😂 Between “you are pushing your luck, daughter” and trying to get that sq**rt bottle where it belongs, this job had plenty of entertainment built in.
