We are hiring! Murcrest Farms is looking to add to our field crop/shop crew. This is a full time, year round position with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay based on experience.

Description: this job opening is for a position on our field crops crew, daily responsibilities would include assisting with the planting and harvesting of crops, truck driving, manure application, and the daily maintenance and repair of our equipment. A suitable candidate would be self motivated, and also able to work within a team. Experience is preferred, but necessary.

Job Description: Farm Mechanic/Equipment Operator
Full Time, Competitive Benefits, and Hourly Pay-Compensation Based off experience.

Murcrest Farms LLC is a 1300 cow, 3500 acre family owned dairy farm and crop operation located in Copenhagen, NY. We prioritize high level of work quality, but also recognize the need for work/life balance. We are actively seeking a full time mechanic/equipment operator to join our team!
Position Summary: Help repair and maintain a large variety of farm machinery as well as trucks and trailers for our milk and feed hauling portions of our operation. Be one of the equipment operators for field preparation, planting, harvest, manure application, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on all equipment, trucks, tractors, and implements.
-Maintain an efficient shop work environment, including safety and organization of the shop area
-Record service and maintenance records
-Assist with field crop operations
-attend staff meetings and training.
The ideal team member needs to be adaptable to grow as a part of our modern dairy operation, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, manage their time well, and understand the seasonal pressure of farming.
