πPEACHESπ
We are picking Red Haven and Glo Haven peaches at $2.19/lb!
Come and enjoy peaches SOON! Due to excessive rainfall and heat recently, the peaches are ripening and growing at a faster rate, which causes them to fall from the trees faster and spoil quicker. Many of our peaches are growing to be very large - one peach weighed 1.25 lbs by itself!
TIP - A ripe peach will give a little when you press your finger into it gently. Keep your ripe peaches in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator to prolong its eating life - it should keep for about a week. To ripen a peach faster, place it in a paper bag at room temperature for about 2 days.
We can't wait to see you on the farm! π

We hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather! π With that we have some unfortunate news: We will NOT be having PYO cherries this season, as the late start to summer and rainfall conditions caused the fruit to drop from the trees. We do apologize for any disappointment, as we will also miss munching on cherries in the field this season! Here is a link to a short article that goes further into why fruit may drop: http://growingandgathering.com/cherries-falling-off-the-tree/
This has caused us to PUSH BACK OUR OPENING DATE TO JULY, as our peach picking season begins. Peaches will be reading for PYO late July, so keep a look out for our official opening date! π

Hello everyone, hope you are looking forward to warmer weather as much as we are.
I have had a few questions as of late that I'd like to address as well in turn help someone who may be wondering the same things.
Growing season/Harvest time in Pennsylvania runs from sometime in May until the end of October. Depending on the crop you may be looking for determines the month of its availability.
SUCH AS
Strawberry season- End of May till end of June for local berries.
Sweet Cherry Season- Mid to end of June into July.
Peach season-August and sometime runs into September.
Apples and Pears- September through October
Other Fruits/Vegetables- They have their different season depending on the kind of produce you may be looking for as well.
Hope this helps.. π
Hang in there it will all be here before we know it.
