This week has been hard. I lost my Dad, the man who taught me to hunt and fish and that Chevys are better than Ford.

Flowers by Dick & Sons did a beautiful job on the casket spray, but I just couldn’t bring myself to let them do a special arrangement I had in mind for Dad. I think it was just too meaningful not to do it myself, plus I think it was therapeutic working with the flowers.

Our middle buddy helped Mike in the bees today. He is definitely at an entertaining age. I’m going to miss this goofy little boy when he grows up. Enjoy a good Sunday night giggle! “Look at all that honey! Yum yum yum!”

Check out this baby swarm we had yesterday! I often think about how different my reaction would have been to these before beekeeping. Once you know how they respond, it’s not as intimidating when you find them.
