🌼 FEVERFEW 🌼

I planted a bunch of feverfew this year! Years ago it used to pop up all over my garden on its own, but over time it slowly fizzled out. I always miss its cheerful little daisy-like flowers, so I decided it was time to bring it back.

Feverfew is an old-fashioned cottage garden favorite that’s easy to grow, loved by pollinators, and known for its long history in herbal medicine. Traditionally, it has been used to help support headache and migraine relief, reduce inflammation, and ease minor aches and pains. Even if you’re not interested in herbal uses, the bright white blooms and sunny yellow centers add a beautiful wildflower look to the garden and make a lovely filler for fresh-cut bouquets.

I’m excited to see it spread around the garden again and reclaim a few of its old favorite spots. 🌼🐝

🐔 NEW HENS AT THE BLUE DOOR COOP! 🐔

We added 5 new girls to the little coop by the farmstand! I’m officially calling it the Blue Door Coop now, thanks to the beautiful new custom door made by Raible Woodcraft. 💙

The new flock includes 4 Marans hens, known for laying gorgeous deep chocolate-brown eggs, and 1 Olive Egger, who should add some beautiful green eggs to the basket. 🌿🥚🤎

They’re settling in and enjoying their new home. Be sure to stop by and say hello the next time you visit the farmstand—you might even catch them showing off their personalities! 😊

🌸 NEW FLOWERS! 🌸

Fresh flowers and plants just arrived at the farmstand from Zachry Farms! Check out those gorgeous trailing vines in the hanging basket in the first photo—they’re absolutely stunning and already putting on a show.😍

🍅 FIRST OHIO TOMATOES! 🍅

The first Ohio tomatoes of the season have arrived! I got these in Amish country today. These beautiful Amish-grown beefsteak tomatoes were raised in hoop houses, giving us an early taste of summer. ☀️

Are they quite as good as that first vine-ripened garden tomato picked right from your own backyard? Not quite. But they’re still juicy, flavorful, and a whole lot better than shipping tomatoes from halfway across the country. 🍅❤️

You’ll find them chilling in the farmstand fridge and ready for sandwiches, burgers, salads, or just sliced with a little salt and pepper.
