apparently national beard day is this thursday, which feels like the perfect excuse to remind y’all that i do, in fact, make something for the beards. 😂🌾

our beard wash + mask is one of those products that quietly sits in the background, but he deserves his moment.

made with just four organic ingredients: yucca root, nettle, sage + calendula.

and despite the name, he’s a little more versatile than just a quick wash. you can use it as a wash, a beard mask, turn it into your own infused acv rinse, or steep it into a refrigerated beard refresher for the week. 👀

swipe through because i broke down all four ways to use it + how to properly dilute the acv rinse before putting it on your face because that felt important to spell out for the men. 😂

and now for the very limited part…

as of right now, i know i have:
• 2 with me
• 2 at the charming haven in killeen
• 1 at Main St. Mercantile in copperas cove
• and there may be one little straggler at The Market on Third - Lampasas but may need to confirm 😂

it’s currently sold out online, so what’s sitting on those shelves is what’s available for now.

consider this your early national beard day reminder + my attempt to get these last few jars into some bearded homes. 🤪

posting all three because it’s my fault for taking too many good pictures and then being indecisive about choosing one. 😂

chicken tacos with mango pico de gallo, avocado crema, rice, elote corn off the cob minus the jalapeño because they lived in the fridge a little too long + refried beans. 🫶🏽

i’ll be sharing the recipes for the mango pico de gallo, rice & avocado crema throughout september because dinner turned into content again. as it should! 👀

the chicken is almost too easy to call a recipe:

what you’ll need:
• chicken thighs
• onion powder
• garlic powder
• pink himalayan sea salt
• pepper
• taco seasoning

to begin:
• toss all that good s**t in a pot and let it cook on low for 3–4 hours.
• once they’re cooked through and tender, pull them out, shred them and keep them to the side while you get the rest prepared.

that’s it. 😂

we did ours two ways because why choose? soft flour tortilla + crunchy shell, chicken, avocado crema and a ridiculous amount of mango pico.

i used the siete maíz taco shells & soft tortillas from el corral in cove because ya girl was not making tortillas that day. BUT you can always use my homemade tortilla recipe i already have posted! 🫶🏽

september might have accidentally become recipe month around here and i’m not mad about it because you know what season it is…. COZY SEASON. and the feed will have at least one recipe a week pretty soon!

is there a specific recipe you’re looking for?! let me know below. 👇🏽

a little tea update from the kitchen 🌾

my herb restock plans took an unexpected turn, so i’m currently working on securing a new source and rebuilding that part of the process a bit.

because of that, tea inventory will be very limited at the 9/5, 9/6 + 9/12 markets, including oktoberfest. i’ll be prioritizing the blends y’all want most and making what i can with the herbs i currently have on hand.

if your favorite sells out, don’t panic. 👀 all blends will still be available for preorder, and once my herbs come in, i’ll get those batches made, restocked + distributed.

so this is your chance to help me decide what gets priority first:

what blends do you want to see stocked in september?

drop them below so i know what y’all are reaching for first. 🫶🏽🌾

thank you for being patient with me while i get this part of the kitchen sorted out. i’d rather take the extra time to find the right herb source than rush it just to say everything is stocked.

little piles turn into big piles, and those big piles turn into blends.

then my counters + floors turn into the holder for all the tea that gets spilled and those pesky little powder bits that never stay in the scoop. 😂

one of my favorite parts of creating blends is seeing the beauty in each herb on its own. when you compare what an herb looks like live to what it looks like dried, chopped or parted out, it’s nothing but pure magic.

the goal is always the same: intentionally chosen herbs that create balanced teas + useful blends.

knowing how they were traditionally used, how they can support the body, what pairs well together and what doesn’t, there’s a purpose behind every little pile.

please enjoy this photo of five of my top herb recommendations. you’ll find some of these in my free herbal wellness starter guide too. 🌿

new on the blog 🫶🏽

there’s room for all of us, just not always at the same table.

something i’ve been thinking about a lot lately is how supporting people doesn’t mean giving everyone unlimited access to you, your business or the spaces you’re building.

sometimes things simply don’t align. sometimes a space isn’t the right fit. sometimes protecting your mental health means creating a little distance. none of that requires wishing badly on anyone else.

we can root for each other and still grow in different gardens. 🌾

this week’s blog is a little more personal. grab a chair and come sit with me.
