Established in 2014, Bo Bena Farm began as a small, passionate venture, driven by a love of
dairy goats and a means to use a surplus of goat milk, thanks to our foundation doe, Lena Bo Bena. Lena was not just a goat; she was the beginning of a journey that led us down the path of
sustainable living and natural product creation. Her abundant mi

venture into soap making in 2016, marking the start of our journey into all-natural skincare. This
eventually expanded to lotions, face creams, and lip care products. Our mission was clear from the beginning: to craft products that were not only safe for our kids
and family but also beneficial. This desire stemmed from a deep-seated commitment to reduce
our exposure to harmful chemicals, fostering a healthier lifestyle for our loved ones. It wasn't
long before our ambition grew beyond goat milk products, aspiring to encompass a range of
all-natural skincare solutions. This drove us to offer our products to others and help to increase
the amount of all natural products people use. Homesteading became our way of life, a testament to our dedication to self-sufficiency and a
deeper understanding of what goes into our food and products. This lifestyle choice allowed us
to take control, ensuring that everything we consumed and used was as natural and
unprocessed as possible. The freedom to be creative opened up new avenues for us to
explore, leading to the development of an array of products beyond goat milk-based items. From
handmade jewelry and custom crafts to sewing and crocheting, each creation is a reflection of our
journey toward independence and sustainability. Homesteading has not only made us more self-reliant but has also given us the opportunity to
share these invaluable skills with our children, instilling in them the importance of sustainable
living and the joy of creativity. At Bo Bena Farm, we pride ourselves on our journey from a single goat farm to a driven,

Use the wool!
I get asked by every client “do we just throw it away?” My answer is always NO! Those sheep worked hard all year to grow it, we owe it to them to use it.
Did you know that sheep wool is high in nitrogen and is a wonderful addition to your compost pile or even as mulch to top your garden beds, adding nutrients and helping retain moisture. I started some butternut squash seeds tonight and each one got a mulch topper of wool from a sheep I’ve sheared this year.

In case anyone wonders why I always wear a bandana while I’m shearing, I forgot mine at home today 🤣
