2024 was a wild ride, but some nice things swirled into shape::

👀👀👀 Keep your eyes peeled for another dahlia dividing party this spring (where you get to take some tubers home).

Other than that, this year is going to look pretty different, but in a really good way. 🥹 I’ll spare you my ranting / emotional monologue. But after looking for a while I was able to land a sweet job that is ag-adjacent & more aligned with the community education work I was doing before I started growing flowers. I’ll still grow tons of flowers this year (…just not as a small business).

About 10 awesome community members (& 1 dog) & I had a really great time last Saturday making wreaths at . I started by talking a little bit about Solstice Flower Works, the history of wreaths, & then described a bit about how I make mine. I started a short tutorial, then let folks pick out their own flowers from an assortment of flowers that I grew & dried on the farm. Wreath making is sort of harder than it looks, so I try to help everyone 1-on-1 while it’s happening. Hope y’all had fun— everyone developed their own style and color pallette, but it’s true:: everyone’s wreaths came out looking great.
Anyone else interested in another wreath workshop this fall? I might teach one more…
