Here is a history lesson about our little place on the hill. There have been two fires here, both in the 1920's. The first one also burned down the old Columbia High School next door and collapsed the water tower housing the town's water supply. This property has been an auto shop, a general store, a boarding house, the Corbett post office, a feed mill, and a dance hall! Based on historical information, the first dance was held here on July 3, 1915 to celebrate completion of the first construction. We plan to continue to dance on this hill every chance we get!
