We will be hosting this workshop at our farm. Biochar is magic!! Come learn how you can burn wood in a way that stores carbon AND provide a rich amendment for your soil.

Join us on Saturday, May 14th for a hands-on workshop and live biochar demonstration! Learn all about biochar and how it can increase soil productivity, reduce wildfire risk and slow climate change.

The workshop includes a 2-hour presentation at the Columbia Grange to go over biochar basics, production techniques, benefits and applications. Then there will be a live demonstration at a neighboring Corbett farm using their community kiln. All those interested in biochar are welcome to attend, including foresters, farmers, natural resource professionals and residents!

Please bring a lunch, water bottle, sturdy boots, and leather gloves. Wear cotton, wool or other fire-resistant clothing. No fleece or nylon. Visit our website to learn more and sign up!

Overwhelmed with joy of sunshine and flowers! We are very grateful to welcome our new WWOOFER Jake, a handful of baby ducklings, a couple baby turkeys, a few baby guinea fowl, a new flock of chicks, and two new bee hives!

September has arrived (well, it's been here...), and the farm is producing an over abundance. Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing any tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers or basil. It's getting close to being your last chance to enjoy fresh produce before the season ends. If you have not had the chance to do some canning projects that you were hoping to do this year, consider buying from us! Also if you are interested in a small one time box of produce, we can also arrange to put one together for you. Your box would likely include Tomatoes, Zucchini, Cucumber, Bell Peppers, Jalapenos, Chard, Kale, Beets, Collard Greens, Strawberries, Dill, Basil, Thyme, Leeks, and some beautiful Flowers! Send us a message if you are interested and we can possibly deliver, or have your order available for pick up at the Tin Shed.
