We’ll be out at two events today if you’re looking for something to do today. Laurel County Homecoming at Levi Jackson State Park has a crafters’ village set up at the mill where I (Audrey) am demonstrating jelly and jam making.

Dale is demonstrating blacksmithing at Old Settlers Days and McCreary County Craft Center. The children will be there making leather britches beans, and rag dolls.

Thankful to have Patches the milk cow joining us for a while. She didn’t produce a ton of milk this morning bit we had a good first experience together.

She was being milked in the evening so we didn’t expect here to produce like normal, also the move and the new handlers are sure to affect her as well.

God willing she’ll settle in and give us more dairy than we know what to do with.
