There’s just something special about a dad taking his kids squirrel hunting. 🐿️

It’s never really just about the squirrels. It’s about waking up early, slipping through the woods before the sun is fully up, and learning to walk quietly beside Dad. It’s about sitting against an old tree, listening to the woods come alive, and hearing stories that somehow get better every time they’re told.

For a lot of dads, squirrel hunting is a tradition passed down from their own fathers. And now, they’re passing it on to their kids—not just teaching them how to hunt, but teaching patience, respect for the outdoors, responsibility, and an appreciation for the simple things.

One day, those kids may not remember every squirrel they saw. But they’ll remember walking through the woods with Dad. They’ll remember the sound of his voice, the lessons he taught, and the feeling of being right there beside him.

That’s the real harvest.
