Honeybee Flower Farm Honeybee Flower Farm grows insecticide free flowers cut fresh from the field in Talbot County, MD.

All of the flowers are grown from seed, tubers, corms, bulbs and stem cuttings. They are long lasting and many of the varieties grown are reputed as being difficult to ship in well from overseas. In addition, supporting a local flower grower helps curb the carbon footprint and benefits the local community at large. Much of the needed supplies such as seed, compost, honeybee equipment, tools and machinery are purchased from businesses located on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Savoring these views from yesterday. There’s a slight chance the first frost of the season may arrive tomorrow morning - a bit earlier than normal. Once the frost hits, the season ends until Spring arrives in March. See you again soon, my flowers 💕.

Hi, I'm Carrie, the owner/operator of my five acre cutflower farm! I've recently had several of my longtime customers reach out asking why my website is down. I'm not selling my business but rather finding a new website provider who doesn't astronomically raise rates (still own my domain name).

At an early age, I just knew that I wanted to live a life surrounded by flowers. That dream stayed with me throughout the years. So, sixteen years ago, that dream became a reality.

When people ask me why I chose this lifestyle of business, I tell them about how much I've always loved the outdoors which inspired me to study Environmental Policy and Planning/Forestry at Virginia Tech. I've also had many jobs in my life leading up to where I am now including gypsy moth trapping in glorious SW Virginia, Soil Conservation Planner for the MD Dept. of Agriculture, landscaping industry, personal gardener and also, wilderness backpacking. My parents raised my sister and me with a strong work ethic, and both of my grandparents were farmers in Iowa and Indiana who also inspired me.

New challenges and obstacles encourage me to continue learning.

Bed preparation for even more Spring blooming flowers and meadows is in full force! The majority of old beds were mowed down today and by the end of this week, I’ll be lightly tilling and planting more of the following first six pictures.

PS: It’s still flower filled out here and will continue until the first frost of the season arrives which is typically in late October 🌸💕🌺.

Before and after… a once difficult area for me to mow around has been transformed to a sweet patch of zinnias. The pollinators and I agree that this is the best way to advertise the road leading up to my farm.

PS: not my sign but I am so very fortunate that my neighbors a bit further down the private road decided to forever keep their farm in agriculture 🌱🌱🌱.

Golden Hour in the celosia forest and other scenes around the landscape 💫. The sunflowers are blooming so beautifully and are for sale at $2/stem or $19/10 stems. The sunflowers I grow are from seed bred for the cutflower industry and will easily last a full week in your vase.
