I often found myself saying “I hate cooking”.
I didn’t enjoy the prep time, the plan it out and make the dinner…just for one of my kids to say that they don’t like it.
And to top it off, buying Whole Foods means they go bad if you don’t use them in the proper time frame! No pressure, right?
Here’s how I changed my attitude. When I eat refined and processed foods, I’m miserable.
☹️ I get bloated
🙁 My guts get crampy
😟 Changes in bowel movements (constipation)
😫 Retaining water/inflammation
🤬 Major mood swings
So for me, when I wake up before the kids to cook, it’s preservation. Sometimes the awful has to slap me in the face before I change!
I’ve said it so many times and I’ll continue to say it…Food Is Medicine. Our medicine for all our ailments IS FOOD.
This morning I’m melting homemade raw butter into Ghee for cooking. Steel cut oats in raw milk for breakfast. And Lazy Cabbage Rolls for lunch/dinner.
I feel amazing when I prioritize proper fuel for my body.
