Antiquity Oaks Antiquity Oaks was created as a homestead by the Niemann-Boehle family in 2002 and is now a teaching farm, educating others in sustainable living skills.

In 2002, the Niemann-Boehle family moved to the country to start growing their own food organically. Over the years, their children grew up and moved away, and today Antiquity Oaks LLC has become a teaching farm where people can attend classes, participate in residential farm internships, and volunteer to learn more about sustainable living.

So in 2004, we built our house ourselves — and I mean literally built it ourselves, with a hammer, nails, wood, and a lot of confidence.

For almost two decades, we thought we had done a pretty good job.

But some decisions that seemed perfectly logical at the time eventually led to problems we never saw coming.

Sometimes the hardest lessons come from what you don’t know you don’t know.

Hey everyone!

This is not how I expected to be spending today.

I have discovered nearly two dozen different Facebook posts and listings advertising unauthorized PDF downloads using my name and the names of my courses:

• Just Kidding and Raising Kids
• Parasites in Goats
• Your Home Dairy

These PDF products are NOT mine. I did not write, create, approve, endorse, or authorize these PDFs, and the sellers have no connection with me or my business.

Some of the listings describe products that are completely different from my actual courses. One advertises Your Home Dairy as a dairy journal. Even more concerning, listings using the name Parasites in Goats appear to promote information that I do not teach or recommend -- and could be harmful to goats!

I do not sell courses as downloadable PDFs. If you see a Facebook post offering a PDF with my name and one of these course titles, please do not purchase it, download it, or rely on its information.

My authentic courses are video-based -- not PDF downloads -- and available only through my website.

If you have purchased or downloaded one of these unauthorized products, please preserve the sales-page URL, receipt, seller information, and filename. Do not forward the downloaded file to me. Contact me by replying to this email with screenshots and the relevant links.

Please share this warning with other goat owners and homesteaders. False animal-health information attributed to a trusted educator can cause real harm.

This hits me really hard personally because I have spent the last 14 years trying to cut through the conflicting information online. And now someone has created a bunch of counterfeit PDFs that include information that specifically conflicts with what I teach.

I actually had real work to do today, but now it looks like I need to spend my time documenting all two dozen listings that I have found so far, report each post for fraud, and submit the overall pattern to Facebook, the domain registrar, the hosting provider, and the FTC.

It feels kind of overwhelming, but I know I have to do it because it's been my mission to get rid of bad information, and this takes it to a whole new level.
