Wowza!! To say the first 6 months of starting our homestead was a whirlwind is the understatement of the year! We have learned SO, SO MUCH about raising healthy animals and turning out an awesome garden! The amount of work this took was insane! I don’t think we had a clue about how this would consume so much of our lives- but it has just been awesome!!! LITERALLY the best decision we have ever made!!! Experiencing the personal satisfaction and rewards of all of our hard work and intense labor efforts has been fulfilling. My husband is a literal rock star at being a homesteader. He’s so creative when figuring out way to utilize resources and troubleshoot- we would have been sunk without him! And to all of the people who have supported us, guided us and purchased either a pig, chickens or eggs from us- THANK YOU SO MUCH! Our intent was to provide the healthiest product for ourselves and our customers while making sure our animals lived their best life while they were with us. We are making plans and adjustments to come back even bigger and better for next year so we hope you all stick around for the ride! I wanted to share the last few snippets from the farm before the seasons changed…..
