A properly ripe pomegranate will have a dry crown, and a hexagonal bottom profile, and are even better when they show some cracks, or splits. This will give you the best juice quality and highest antioxidant profile.

It really helps, if you let us know if, and where you see these when you are picking. It's a fairly light population, and we can keep it that way if you help keep an eye out. We use battery shop vacs to dispense of these, so you don't have to worry about any pesticides. Fortunately, the dragonflys, birds, and fence lizards keep em in check.Thank you!
