Couldn’t be prouder of our all American results. Leanna ended up All American Junior two year old, and Lauretta ended up Honorable mention all American senior two year old. Both of these are home bred and go back to the Lauren family. Leanna has a nice patriot summer yearling for this year. Both are bred back and will be ready to show this year.

While we didn’t have any show to go to, we did have a power outage that made it so our cows couldn’t get milked when we normally would. They had about 22 hours of milk in them. They looked pretty good.

We had plans to go watch a baseball game tonight, so we milked early, and we had brought a cow that was due to calve in theee days in for her transition grain. I noticed she had some funny looking discharge on her v***a, and was leaking milk. I decided to sleeve her, and feet and a nose. Unfortunately she wasn’t dilated and I could tell the calf was not alive. Greg had gone to get a load of hay. With the help of Brooke, Lindsey, Jeff, Johnny and of course myself we ended up finally getting the calf out. At least it was a bull. We got momma straightened out. Gave her some water, calcium pills, jump start and a little more tlc and then put her away. Sometimes an change when you live on a farm!

Classification day is a day we all work soo hard for and today it paid off. The kids had clipped the animals during the week. We got up at four in the morning, so we could make sure they got washed and were ready to be scored at 7am. We were not disappointed. Creampuff went 92 points at 2.5 weeks fresh. She gave 92 pounds for the tester last week. Kisses is a June junior two gentleman out Hello kitty( a George that was nominated Junior all American as a Junior two year old), she went 84 with an 86 mammary( calved June8th). Brielle( Viking out of Magic Bri(94)) went 88 with a 90 mam. Lauretta( Logic out of Laura( 90pts as a 3yr old res all American jr 3.) went 88 with an 89 mam MAX Score!! Leanna ( Princeton out of leah( a perfect storm) went 88 with an 89 mam MAX score!! Both of these are Lauren Grandaughters:) inquiries are always welcome:)
