Borage is a flowering herb that has been used for thousands of years. It was first cultivated in the Mediterranean and Middle East regions, but its use spread to Europe during the medieval period. Borage can be found growing wild on rocky hillsides throughout the region today.

The leaves and flowers are edible, with a cucumber-like flavor and slightly bitter aftertaste when consumed raw. The plantโ€™s high water content makes it useful for soothing skin conditions such as sunburn or eczema, as well as treating respiratory infections like colds or bronchitis. Its antispasmodic properties make borage popular among women who suffer from menstrual cramps โ€“ many herbalists recommend drinking an infusion of borage.

Morel mushrooms are a type of edible mushroom that grow in many parts of the world, including North America and Europe. They have been used for thousands of years to treat various medical conditions such as digestive issues, respiratory problems, and even cancer. They are known to fight free radicals in the body and are rumored to be an aphrodisiac. Our morels surprised us by growing right in our garden beds last season. They were beautiful and really yummy!

Our favorite Winter elixir! Our fire cider is extra potent with lots of ginger, turmeric, lemons, horseradish, onions, garlic, honey, peppercorns, thyme, and peppers. It can help your body fight off colds and flu, reduce inflammation in joints, improve skin toneโ€ฆthe list goes on.

We drink shots of our fire cider, but it's also a great addition to a non-alcoholic cocktail. How do you drink your fire cider?
