Spending some time in Philadelphia, PA at the flower show. How exciting--Low bush Blueberry Bonsai! Seeing that on display made me yearn for spring and returning to the fields to care for our blueberries!

Yay! Warm weather the last two days. That gets me excited to start pruning the bushes!

Hello from PleasantView Blueberry Farm! Today while I walked the fields, I came upon the resident yearling porcupine who was busily eating and paid no attention to me. This little guy can be quite oblivious! My husband was walking in a hurry near the barn, a little past dusk and ran right into the critter! Check out the quills in his shoe!

Some of you showed interest in my arachnid friend, the yellow and black garden spider. She has moved on, but I have a few other friends visiting me. A tiny tree frog the size of a quarter and a walking stick, a most interesting insect that can really camouflage as a stick or twig! We are now just finishing up mulching the young plants we put in the ground late spring. We have to water to give them a boost since it has been so dry here. September has been a really beautiful month with great working weather and clear blue skies!
