The time has come! Witch Creek Tasting House is now closed. To those of you who have patronized our establishment we thank you! We have enjoyed your company and fun conversations. To those special visitors from out of town who found our little spot thank you. Please know how much Hazel and I enjoyed our time learning about your travels and experiences while visiting Verde Verde Valley.
The new owners, Matthew and Marian have a passion for fermented beverages and the art of making tasty Mead. Over the next couple months they will be developing their menus further and fine tuning their offerings. I know they will create something special for the community and visitors to our area. Please wish them much success.
You will see Hazel and I around the community. We are building a house in Cornville. We will give you a big hug when we see you in the near future.

There comes a time for patience. This is a message to our Facebook followers at Witch Creek Tasting House.
15 days after listing our property for sale we had an accepted offer. Wonderful people who anticipate delivering exceptional fermented beverages and food to our community and visitors had obtained financing and were looking forward to creating wonderful new beverages and an exciting atmosphere at our property. After almost 50 days of due diligence and financing requirements we were ready to close on the 22nd of January. On that day the bank notified the buyers they weren't able to perform.
The buyers are working with another lender but in the meantime the property has been relisted as active. Come see us. We'd love to serve you great food and cider. We remain patient and understand that what appears as a setback is really just more time to enjoy the company of our friends, neighbors, and visitors to the area.

There comes a Time..
For gratitude, grace, work, enjoyment, frustration, relaxation, retirement, sorrow, and joy. I could go on and on, but you get the message. Somehow we all know when it is time for certain pathways in our lives to open up new doors and new experiences. Since opening our doors to the community and visitors over a year and a half ago Hazel and I have enjoyed all of these emotions and more. We have learned so much about our community and our neighbors by having the privilege of living and working Creek Tasting House. Over a month ago Hazel, the Mom, in this mom and pop operation woke up in severe pain and has been at multiple Phoenix hospitals since October 3rd.. After multiple hospital experiences she is gaining strength and expected to be back to our home at the Tasting House in another week.. The purpose of this post is simply to express our deepest gratitude for all the wonderful people who have stopped in and expressed well wishes, prayers, and thoughts for Hazel's quick return and recovery. I grew up in a small town in Nebraska and moved to Scottsdale in 7th grade. So I have considered Arizona as my home. Hazel and I have lived and worked all over this wonderful country. From Hawaii to South Carolina and parts in between during my career in Hospitality work. We have never found such a welcoming warm and sincere community in all of our travels. Thank you Cornville Community.

On another note, as a result of this latest health event we have elected to offer the Tasting House for sale. I didn't want the followers of this post to hear it through the rumor mill which we know is active in our small town.. Life's events simply have a way of speaking to you. If you haven't visited us we hope that you do. We will be open for the foreseeable future and any updates regarding the sale of the property will be promptly passed through this posting out of respect for the wonderful people that follow our activities.

Who knew a delightful beverage like hard cider could be good for you in moderation of course.
2. Did you know Witch Creek Tasting House has a full menu suitable for lunch or early dinner? Daily specials are available. For instance we are currently offering St Louis style BBQ pork ribs with baked beans and a bread roll. Comfort food at its best..
3. Did you know our hard cider menu changes frequently. We are currently offering a Ghostly Plum hard cider in celebration of Halloween month. This is a plum cider with ghost chili that sneaks up on you. As you may know all of our hard ciders are made on site. Guests have stated how amazed they are at the fresh flavors in our hard cider.
4. Did you know there are two outdoor pet friendly patios? We served two Afghan VIP guests with their parents on our front patio yesterday..
