So many people loved it that I started receiving phone calls about ordering them for other events and parties. Then, someone asked what else I baked -- and from that point on, I really found my niche. As a child I had made cookies from old family recipes for gifts at Christmastime. My mother believed that people really appreciated something homemade because it "showed that you put your love and ti
me into it". Today I still use those old family recipes and add new ones when something peaks my curiosity. If a new cookie has chocolate in it, it's usually a thumbs up. Chocolate chip cookies are by far the most popular, but since my son is a Boy Scout, I felt compelled to do my version of a s'more... so I created the Smorealicious. One cookie that's dear to my heart is my Grandma's cream cheese cookies. These cookies have been passed through at least four generations and still remain a family favorite. I use different fruit preserves such as strawberry, blueberry or apricot to suit the taste of customers. I recently made over 1,700 cookies for my niece's wedding, which is what sparked the need for this Page. Guests and staff alike at the wedding raved about the 10 different types of cookies I made as the star of the dessert hour, and requests for recipes, cookie orders and wonderful comments have been pouring in!
