Behold! Our newest product we’ll be introducing to the market is in full effect. Not only are we growing our mushrooms but we also will be roasting columbian coffee beans from scratch and infusing dehydrated lions Mane powder, making our own line of coffee. We will also be brewing our lions mane coffee, making cold brew for the market as well! We hope you enjoy, we will be at the Grow Local Farmers' Market tomorrow from 5-8 PM!

For my fungal ecology class today we took a tour of Lazy Beach Brewing to see the interactions with Yeast! Incredible tour, seeing another use of fungi!

Currently I'm taking a Fungal Ecology class to increase my comprehension of Mycology. One of our activities is a Fungal Collection Project, this is a photo of a beautiful spore print of Pink Oyster Mushrooms donated by us for this class, by Samantha one of the students.

Very interesting lecture! Plants will sometimes add a second layer of protection known as lingin, which is a thick layer of wood to protect their sugar (cellulose). Basidiomycota, one of the two main types of mushrooms that grow above soil, have the ability to breakdown wood over time. This is one of the key features that allow fungi to act as a primary decomposer in different ecosystems. Some of the Basidiomycota that we grow are Lions Mane and a variety of oyster mushrooms!
