Wildlife Wednesday! Bison at Yellowstone National Park. Bison are able to withstand extreme cold temperatures. They can tolerate temperatures as low as -50°F. During winter storms, bison will turn toward the storm, hunker down, and wait for it to pass. With thick coats and a low profile, bison can survive the same storm that would kill many domestic livestock.
