This is one of our favorite introductions.

Tuber mania has reached new heights this year. I have not done nearly the shopping I usually do. By the time I realize a new vendor has opened, I pull up the site to see they are already sold out of 1/2 (or more) of their varieties. Of course that's good news for us tuber sellers but it also is an added stress as we are inundated with requests for presales or tuber lists. I truly dont know when I'll have tubers for sale. Dividing this year had had lots of barriers as I am in a leased space (outgrew my basement). I also burned a lot of PTO with my "real job" during a quite hectic cut flower season. I'm still hoping for a 2021 sale but may need to consider January instead. Time will tell. I dont do multiple openings as many vendors are now doing. IMO that's even more frustrating for customers. I'll list everything at once and always list how many tubers are available for each variety. I also limit sales to 3 or less tubers for highly sought after varieties. Enter...Summer Rain (pictured) which I will have again, and will limit sales to 3 per customer.

Katy’s Courtyard at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds is being planted and made ready for the upcoming Fair. In memory of Katy Bannister, the Courtyard in the Floriculture area is being renovated to reflect some of the changes Katy had hoped to make.
