The Farm:

Stillwaters Farm in Corryton, TN is a historic farm operated by Marv and Peg Adam since 1993. We raise blueberries and wild blackberries, as well as naturally produced eggs and lavender. Mission:

To provide high quality local products, grown with sustainable and natural methods, in a pleasant peaceful and safe environment for people and animals. History:

Our farm is a the remaining ac

reage of the Gibbs community Doctor of the early 1900's. Doc Jenkins ran his practice and the farm on an original larger acreage. His office still stands on the property along with most of the original out buildings and the craftsman style farm house. Products

Sustainable Farm Definition (according to Peggy) - An agricultural system in which the natural cycles work in concert with one another with little or no intervention from human actions that stop the biological processes - in essence a closed system in stead of an open system. Growing up on a ranch was delightful, raising prize winning sheep, beef and dairy cattle for 4-H, getting out of school to help with the sheep shearing, learning how to drive a tractor during hay baling season. Not to mention there was always plenty of fresh, hormone free milk and butter to go around. Peggy went on to receive a Master's degree in Zoology from Ohio State University and still loves the smell of hay, new calves and the wonder of what bugs can do in the garden. Marv Adam grew up in the military and moved all over the United States and Europe. He received a Masters in Geological Engineering from Missouri School of Mines in Rola. Rola, Missouri is the location of his Grandparents farm that brings fond childhood memories of tending the garden with his grandpa Valentine. He currently owns Capstone Enterprises a mining consulting firm. In his spare time, Marv fixes and engineers all of the many, many things that need fixing or creating on the farm from, large irrigation systems to new fences to simple latches that work.

STILL WATERS FARM BLUEBERRY SEASON 2022

Greetings valued customers and blueberry lovers.
After much deliberation, Marv and I have made a tough decision about the 2022 season. We had some early frost damage that negatively impacted the development of berries and consequently the harvest.
Also, I had an unexpected injury to my right foot, requiring surgery and long term lack of putting any weight on that foot.
Therefore we find it necessary to close the field to picking this year. We truly regret this outcome and will miss seeing all of you again this year.
We’re not giving up and will hope for better days in 2023. We wish you health and God’s blessings until we see you for next years harvest.

YOU-PICK BLUEBERRY SEASON AT STILL WATERS

Greetings valued customers and blueberry lovers. After much deliberation, Marv and I have made a tough decision about the 2022 season.
We had some early frost damage that negatively impacted the development of berries and consequently the harvest.
Also, I had an unexpected injury to my right foot, requiring surgery and long term healing.
Therefore we find it necessary to close the field to picking for the year. We truly regret this outcome and will miss seeing all of you again this year.
We’re not giving up and will hope for better days in 2023. We wish you health and God’s blessings until next year’s harvest.

Greetings blueberry lovers. During the past few weeks we’ve been hoping and closely watching this season’s crop. I’m afraid the sad news is that the field will be closed entirely this season. We experienced two significant frosts that corresponded exactly with the bud break of our different varieties, resulting in the loss of nearly all berries.
Since the bushes are still healthy, we’ll be giving them some extra TLC this summer and look forward to better times next year. We sure will miss seeing all of our yearly-returning friends and meeting new ones.
May you enjoy your summer. Looking forward to next year,
Marv and Peggy Adam
Still Waters Farm.

Blueberry update. Between bird/rabbit damage and excessively hot, dry conditions we are forced to close the fields for this season. When we check the fields we are finding that not only are the birds getting through the netting (thanks to the rabbits), but the berries are small and undeveloped. They do not meet our standards of quality that we want to offer to you our valued blueberry lovers. Please be assured that we’ll be working throughout the year to bring you the best produce possible in 2021. Wishing you health and peace until we see you again at Still Waters Farm in June of next year. Thank you for your interest, business and patience throughout this very different season.
Marv and Peggy Adam.

Blueberry update at Still Waters Farm. Sadly, this year has been a real challenge keeping birds out of the netted fields. There are many green berries on the bushes, but none ripe due to the birds snatching them up as soon as they turn blue. Therefore we will need to remain closed at least until Monday evening.
We will also be closed on June 24th, due to a family commitment.
We regret the inconvenience and inconsistency this has caused you this season. I will keep you updated by post, or you may call 865-281-0894 to check on availability. Thanks for your interest and patience.
