Busy day at the farm. Something spooked the cows. This was the nursery after they settled down. Mama red tail hawk overseeing her nest. I think her eggs have hatched. There was a swarm of bees in the fruit orchard. If they are still there in the morning we will try to catch them. And last, the chickens almost had an overnight visitor. I moved her/him out of the coop. Great place to hide and wait for eggs.

These two calves may be the last of the Hereford bull for this year. Time for the long legged calves to arrive. Only eight cows left to calve.

This mornings adventure. There was a calf on the wrong side of the fence. It took two catches, two tumps, and two pushes under the fence to get it back to mamma.

Wood duck house installation complete. There was a pair of wood ducks hanging out a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they or another pair will check it out.

Calving season begins. Two calves born overnight. I wasn't sure that Hereford bull was going to get the job done. The other calf is a black baldy. There are several more mammas that are bagged up. It's the busy and fun time of the year!
