We here at RBJ Acres are proud veterans of the Army. Today we remember and honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country. Today we honor those we’ve lost who fought for the great freedoms we have today. Never forget their selfless service and sacrifice.

Today is not about BBQs, sales or drinking.
On May 5th, 1868, General John A. Logan declared May 30th would be Decoration Day in order to commemorate Civil War soldiers as the springtime flowers would be in full bloom across the country.
On May 30th, 1868, graves of both Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery were decorated.
After World War II, Memorial Day became the more common name for the day and the name was later adopted by Congress in 1967.
In 1968, Congress moved Memorial Day to the last Monday in May creating Memorial Day weekend.
Today at 3pm, please take a moment to pause wherever you are to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in arms.
