About Me
I’m Jeri Howland, a 7x Ironman champion and winner of over 30 ultramarathons. I’m also an endurance athlete coach, entrepreneur and environmentalist committed to family, healthy body and planet, and living an active life outdoors. I live a life committed to setting and attaining goals and helping others do the same, and I’ve found that simple, real food provides the best fuel to enhance
the journey and performance. The Bungalow Munch Story
I created Bungalow Munch with my twin sister when we were twelve years old and just beginning our real athletic pursuits. We needed a great way to kick-start each day, started playing around with recipes in the kitchen and developed the same recipe for our granola; since then we’ve enjoyed our granola almost every day since – really. Today, my husband Jerry Edelbrock and I run Bungalow Munch in Marin County, California. Together, we weave our deep commitment to high performance into our company practices – this includes being a high-functioning family, professionals, athletes, and stewards of the planet. Our goal is to provide you (and ourselves!) with the best granola and, while doing so, make the world a happier and healthier place. Recently, in a commitment to extent hand-made premium granola to the Bay Area, Honeymoon Brands and Bungalow Munch decided to combine efforts. Honeymoon Brands, known for their hand-crafted Ice Cream pints and sandwiches (www.honeymoonicecream.com), continues to prepare Bungalow Munch one bag at a time using Jeri's original recipe. The founder of Honeymoon Brands, David Young, and founder of Bungalow Munch, Jeri Howland, became friends while training for triathlons together. Both Jeri and David only put the freshest, best ingredients in their products, so the partnership between Bungalow Munch and Honeymoon emerged organically out of their friendship. One thing you can count on with the new Munch-Honeymoon team is we put the same T.L.C. into each hand-made batch.
