I get it, it’s not your average lifestyle. 😉

From the outside, this kind of life can look simple—just a little farm and a slower, peaceful pace. But the truth is, it’s not really simple at all… it’s full, layered, and very intentional.

There are full-time jobs, a team to lead, two busy kids in sports, and then farm life waiting at home. Some days look a little chaotic—babies being born, new animals arriving, a lot happening all at once—but behind it all is a rhythm and structure that keeps everything moving.

A life like this doesn’t happen by accident. The farm is possible because of the work, and the work feels meaningful because of the life it supports. It may look calm from the outside, but it’s built on effort, organization, and a whole lot of love—and that’s what makes it so fulfilling.

The farm is the passion…the jobs are what keep it standing when things don’t go right.

“Quinn”, our Caucasian Ovcharka (yes, that’s her breed) was intentionally bred to our magnificent Sarplaninac male, “Sombor”…and the results are gonna be AH-MAZING.

Super stoked to watch these little ones develop.

Whew… what a DAY. 😅

Only a few mild catastrophes—but the headline news: we have a confirmed breeding with Sombor and Sariah! And of course, they chose the pasture by the road for their big moment… fully committed to putting on a show for every passing vehicle. 🫣 Purebred Šarplaninac puppies are officially on the way!

Meanwhile—because apparently one storyline wasn’t enough—I was hauling a puppy to the bathtub when I found my sweet milk goat Seven in labor. Naturally.

I had a midnight deadline riding on a bet with a friend, and I’m happy to report she delivered right on time at about 10:15… a buckling and a doeling! 🙌

Chaos, good timing, and new life all in one day—farm life doesn’t do boring.
