Finally stared winter bed prep!

When I take the time to do this it sets me so much farther ahead come spring.

The idea is to prevent weeds from growing in the spring before I can get out there and since it’s so windy up here it also helps with soil erosion during our extremely windy winters.

Now I just cross my fingers and hope I put out enough sandbags to hold everything down. We shall see. 🙃

My body and spirit both needed the quiet refill—before the holiday market whirlwind begins this next weekend.

This past week has me harvesting the rest of my tender herbs. Roses, lavender, catnip, tulsi, lemon balm, lemon basil and yes, I’m still harvesting Genovese basil.

I had to tarp a few beds with the nights dipping below freezing but it’s worth it!

My herb dryer is packed full, so it’s old school hanging for the catnip for now.

Next up the frost hardy herbs and then onto roots.
