I was raised cooking rice on the stove. My mother didn’t teach me to rinse my rice first or about measuring the water depth with my finger (which equates to a 1:1 ratio). Never used a rice cooker. Most industrial I ever got was having to cook rice in a cast iron pot as a kid. Washing it out was a bitch. Do not recommend. And that was just cooking long grain rice. And then there’s Thai sticky rice. Like high glutinous rice - ultra sticky rice. It is my favorite, but I don’t like waiting the for the soaking process because I want to eat it now. So here I am with my first (SUCCESSFUL!) attempt at making it in my instapot and my only complaints are 1) I didn’t make enough and 2) I don’t have any mango.
