The Peach Place

The Peach Place More than 30 years ago The Peach Place started growing some of the best peaches in the Willamette Valley.

Today we are still going strong and want to make sure that the world's best peaches always have a home in Corvallis!

UPDATE: We are now out of peaches! Thanks for coming out!

Since the peach trees completely ignored our pre-harvest chat about waiting until AFTER the kids' soccer tournament to ripen, we find ourselves doing yet another day of u-pick.

Saturday, August 9th, we will be open from 9-2 for u-pick on our Suncrest peaches. Bring out your kids, bring out your boxes and get ready to eat some of the best peaches anywhere. Price is $1.50/lb.

If picking your own peaches isn't your cup of tea, we also have a few available on the stand that were picked this morning. We'll be out here until they're all gone and will update the post when that happens.

TL/DR:
U-pick 7/26 from 9 - 2
Bring your own boxes/containers
$1/lb
Closed shoes strongly recommended

Now the long version:

After going back and forth on if we should do it or not, we have decided to open up for one day of u-pick this year. With that, we will be open for u-pick starting at 9am on Saturday the 26th.

The trees don't look as good as we would like, there are weeds everywhere and there is a bit of insect damage because we didn't do any spraying when there was fruit on the trees. Even with all that, we still want to open it up to anyone that wants to come out and pick.

We have a limited number of boxes, so if you can bring your own, it would help out a ton.

What do you do when there are no peaches on your trees? Why, you fence in a portion of the farm to let people come and run their dogs around. Don't worry, this will be the only time we post this, I just spent so much time getting this ready that I felt the need for some Facebook validation.

Unfortunately our trees decided to take a year off from blooming. No flowers in the spring means no peaches in the summer. Since we have no fruit to sell, we will not be opening at all this year.

Hate the snow and ice but this morning sure was pretty.

Out of the Hazelnut business and consolidating space by removing no longer needed equipment. If you have to move large volumes of air this industrial blower is just the ticket!

Large commercial blower retired from small batch drying (5-6 tons) of Hazelnuts. Has a 220V continuous-duty, 2HP motor. Motor and fan-belt housing is enclosed. Probably

We are closed all day today for a private family event. If you try to come out and see a tractor blocking the road that's the reason 😁.

Peaches aren't ready yet, we expect them to start around the 8th or 9th.
