The details:
We will be open for u-pick Friday the 7th of August.
We will be open 10 am to 4 pm
There will be 2 varieties available to pick, Suncrest and Veteran
Price is $2/lb - not set up for cards, so we can accept cash or venmo
Bring your own boxes and containers, baskets and buckets are discouraged because the peaches are ripe and ready to go, hard containers will cause bruising.
If we have any left after tomorrow, we will have another day of picking that is yet to be determined.
The story:
We were hesitant to open up because the orchard isn't very pretty right now. We have been so busy with jobs and kids' activities and life that the farm has had to take a back seat. Due to that, there are dead branches, tall weeds and not as many peaches as we like, but there are still too many to let go to waste. Closed toe shoes and long pants are strongly encouraged because of the vegetation. We have mowed what we can but we can't get everything.
