We finally have our show dates for 2025! We will have our spring schooling show on Sunday, June 1, 2025 and we will tentatively have our fall schooling show on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Allison is coming to Maelstrom Farm to do an at Liberty Clinic. Below is her bio. The cost for both days will be $400 per person / horse. She will do a morning and an afternoon session both days with each participant. We will offer the clinic on December 7 and December 8. We have plenty of extra stalls, they are $40 for one night or $65 for both nights and include the first bag of pellets. Each participant is allowed to bring one guest. Auditing is welcome for $25 per day or $40 for both days. If you would like to participate, but don’t have your own horse you are welcome to lease one of our school horses. Please let me know below if you are interested. For any participants we will require $150 nonrefundable deposit by October 20th. You are welcome to make your deposit via PayPal (friends and family), Venmo, or cash or check.

Allison Whisler is one of the top judges with the International Liberty Horse Association. She is a liberty competitor and performer as well. Allison has spent the last 4 years honing her liberty training skills which she learned from Dan James, one of the best liberty trainers in the US. She has started over 100 horses at liberty and has 9 of her own liberty horses. Allison owns and operates Alliance Equestrian Center in Yorktown, IN, where she teaches lessons, trains horses, holds shows and gives clinics. She loves teaching others the art of liberty!

We had a great time at WEC even if we all came home tired!

~Ann and Finn had their best show to date with a 2nd place in a huge flat class as well as three sixth places and a seventh place in big classes. They have successfully moved up another division.

~Liz and Applejack had their best show to date making it to the jump off in several of their classes. What a great way to end their full time status at Maelstrom Farm as they leave for college in August.

~Madison and Dray had a successful show earning several great ribbons including a 2nd place in a class of 38 as well as a 3rd, 5th, 6th and an 8th. They also moved up another level with success.

~Kristin and Jack had a successful show earning the championship spot in the intermediate child adult jumpers. They had a couple of their most fluid trips in the jumper ring.

Congratulations to such a great, dedicated, deserving group of horses and riders. I'm lucky to be your coach!
