We have some sad news
After a great deal of thought, some difficult conversations, and more than a few sleepless nights, we have made the decision to close Karv Meats.
Karv started with a simple idea — to bring locally raised meat, good food, and an old-fashioned butcher shop experience to downtown Corydon.
But sometimes life changes the plans we make.
Over the past year, our families and business partners have experienced some significant life changes that have caused all of us to look a little differently at how we spend our time, where our priorities need to be and just what makes sense. After a lot of consideration, we’ve realized that this is the right time for us to close this chapter.
This was not an easy decision, and it certainly wasn’t made because we stopped believing in Karv or in downtown Corydon. Quite the opposite. We are so grateful for the way this community welcomed us, supported us, ate with us, shopped with us, and told others about us.
Most of all, we are thankful for the people. Our amazing employees who helped us build Karv and every customer who walked through our doors — many of whom became friends.
We’re proud of what we created here. And while Karv may have been a shorter chapter than we originally imagined, it is a chapter we won’t forget.
This past Saturday was our last day
We know this news may feel sudden. While the final decision came together quickly, it followed many conversations and a great deal of consideration about what was best for our families and everyone involved with Karv.
