Thank you to everyone who participated in our 5-day U-Pick extravaganza and the good folks at Brush Hollow Winery! This was a lot of fun for us too.
You guys did the hard work and now it’s our turn…harvest will be starting now. The farm and Farm Shop are still open at our regular hours and you may catch us distilling over the next few weeks too…just follow your nose!

True to form, our English varieties are the first to get “showy” every season. Folgate, Melissa, and Royal Velvet are coming on! Our Grosso’s and Impress Purple are doing well but may a week or two later than last year. If you’re interested in U-Picks, stay tuned…early August looks to be the timing.

While we watch as our fields start greening up and begin spring pruning, our little greenhouse has been toasty all winter. Plant sales begin in conjunction with our Farm Shop opening for the season on Thursday May 25!

We’ve stumbled upon many of these guys in the lavender as we’ve begun harvesting this year. We’ve also had a lot fewer grasshoppers to deal with this season…coincidence? 😁

The sickles are flying, the still is running, and the Farm Shop is open this weekend. Catch the purple before we wrap up harvest.
Our Folgate (an English variety) has been stunning this season. Next we cut Irene Doyle and then it’s Grosso time! Don’t dally if you want to catch the bloom before harvesting gets going in earnest. Thurs thru Sat 11-3 and Sun 1-5.
We’ll it took long enough, but we finally have some proper field signs up! Just in time for U-Pick … tickets still available for 8/6, 8/7, 8/13, and 8/14. Reserve your time and includes an ice cream to boot!
Our lavender “guard” dog, Jet the Coach Potato, says the lavender is just about ready for you to come pick your own bouquet. Get your u-pick ticket today on our website for next weekend’s u-pick. You must purchase in advance.
These guys were cutting fresh lavender for a wedding at the Ranch but Melanie considered it a job interview…and tried to hire them on the spot! They don’t call it Royal Velvet for nothing. The farm and Shop will be open as usual today 1-5p.
Leia, our farm dog and beloved pet thinks she owns the place. Texas Creek that runs through the Ranch is her favorite hangout. You can bring your dog to walk the lavender fields but please use a leash and we ask…no pets inside our Farm Shop. We’ll be open today as usual and tomorrow for the 4th of July!
Great day for a drive to a lavender farm. Growing at 7000 feet elevation has its challenges, but the views are worth it.

And this is why we wait until Memorial Day before we start planting our lavender 😁. Nearly 24” of snow in the last week. It’s here today and gone tomorrow and is badly needed moisture but… hard to believe it’s almost June!
That said, our little lavender plants look great and plant sales begin this Sunday! Stay tuned for details and all the cultivars we have available.

Our B&B chef, the talented and lovely Stefanie has been busy! Besides preparing fantastic breakfasts for our overnight guests, she has been making these beautiful lavender-peach muffins along with incredible lavender-lemon bread loaves.
